Daikin UK will be supporting a new Japan Festival at Kew Gardens later this year.
From October 2-31, visitors to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew will be invited to immerse themselves in the art, plants and culture of Japan, and will also be able to interact with the Daikin brand.
Experts will be on hand to educate visitors about the role heat pumps have to play in the future of home heating in an interactive mobile showroom at the Brentford Gate entrance to the gardens
Managing director Angela McGinlay said: “Supporting Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew through the Japan Festival makes a lot of sense for Daikin UK. Since our business was founded in Japan nearly 100 years ago, our mission has been to create home climate control solutions that meet the needs of any home and every lifestyle. And we want to do that while caring for the environment and protecting future generations, something that aligns closely with Kew’s ethos.
“The partnership also enables us to engage directly with Kew’s audiences – introducing them to the benefits of air source heat pump technology and encouraging them to make the transition, sending more leads into our installer base in the process.”

The Japan Festival will take place in Kew’s Temperate House, and will bring to life a celebration of the culture of Japan, which is deeply rooted in nature. This will include spectacular horticultural displays, featuring the chrysanthemum, Japan’s national flower – alongside an immersive soundscape inspired by Japan’s rivers, waterfalls, mountains and coast.
Neal Donnelly, director of development at RBG Kew, added: “We are very pleased to be receiving this new stream of support from a business that understands the importance of the environment. The Japan Festival is an exciting new addition to our visitor programme, and to kickstart it with the involvement of a company of this nature feels absolutely right.''
Installers interested in working with Daikin can join its Sustainable Home Network and enjoy benefits such as unlimited, free training, branded merchandise and workwear and marketing support, alongside qualified sales leads from homeowners.
