Wirral-based Stiebel Eltron has strengthened its team following the rising demand for heat pumps.

The renewable heating manufacturer has so far hired six new members of staff across customer support roles, with recruitment underway for a further three roles.

The appointments come during a period of continued growth for Stiebel Eltron, which has seen its heat pump sales increase by 70% from last year. The company has now set a target to further increase this for 2022.

As part of this growth, Stiebel Eltron will also be carrying out training to upskill existing staff and ensure that high-quality support is not only provided at the point of purchase, but that technical support is available to customers throughout the duration of any installation or project.

Stiebel Eltron also intends to support its installer base as the UK transitions towards renewable heating solutions and is developing plans for a new training centre and showroom at its facility in Bromborough. The scheme is expected to launch in Autumn 2022.

Mark McManus, managing director at Stiebel Eltron UK, said: “The UK’s direction of travel on emissions is clear and that’s reflected in the huge rise in demand for heat pumps.

“However, there remains a long way to go for the country to achieve its target of installing 600,000 heat pumps by 2030.

“At Stiebel Eltron, we’re committed to providing the highest quality renewable solutions and it’s only right that we strengthen our own teams and processes as demand for our products continues to rise.

“That’s why we’re not only growing our team but investing in training and upgrades to our customer service programme as we look to support installers during this period.”
