The House of Commons BEIS Select Committee published the Government’s response to the Committee’s report – Decarbonising heat in homes – published on 3rd February 2022.

Laura Bishop, chair of the GSHPA, said: “GSHPA welcomes further confirmation of the Government's wide-ranging approach to delivering low carbon heat, but we think Ministers could go further and faster. The cost of living crisis has underlined the importance of ending domestic reliance on fossil fuel heat as soon as possible, so we'd like to see for example a much more ambitious boiler upgrade scheme and bringing forward the decision to end sales of natural gas boilers from 2035.”
The Ground Source Heat Pump Association represents heat pump system designers, contractors and installers across the UK.
