Ideal and EDF have launched a new heat pump bundle which includes ‘free electricity’ for the month of December 2025.

The three-year Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff also provides a seven-year warranty and service package on the heat pump, worth more than £1,500.

Available until December 31 2024, customers who sign-up to the offer and opt to switch their properties entirely away from gas could then benefit from zero energy bills during December 2025.

Ideal Heating is mid-way through a £60m investment programme as the UK market leader transitions its product portfolio from gas boilers to low carbon heating solutions.

The partnership with EDF underlines Ideal’s commitment to the decarbonisation of UK heating, as it works with partners to accelerate the adoption of heat pumps.

Mark Derbyshire, Managing Director (Domestic) at Ideal Heating said: "We are thrilled to be working with EDF.

“By combining our innovative heat pump technology with EDF's extensive reach and resources, we aim to provide customers with heating solutions that are better for the environment and can also save on energy costs.

“Plus, our heat pumps are backed up by guaranteed peace of mind, thanks to our warranty packages. This partnership will significantly contribute to reducing carbon footprints and promoting energy efficiency.”

The Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff also offers six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity every day, all year round, saving at least £404 against Standard Variable prices.

The tariff will offer two off-peak windows from 4am – 7am and 1pm – 4pm and customers who shift their consumption household consumption could save even more on bills, without the worry of any premium peak rates.

Philippe Commaret, Managing Director of Customers at EDF, said: “It’s great to see a growing interest among households in switching from inefficient, fossil fuel-based heating to zero carbon alternatives. However, we recognise challenges, such as cost, still exist.

“By working closely with Ideal Heating, we hope to support more customers with installing sustainable, energy-efficient solutions, and in doing so, enable them to achieve significant cash and carbon savings.”

The tariff is available via EDF Heat Pumps, the new identity of CB Heating, which EDF acquired in 2023.

With over 20 years of experience and thousands of successful installations, EDF Heat Pumps builds upon the legacy of CB Heating, offering expert design, seamless installation, and top-rated service.

Ideal Heating’s flagship Logic Air heat pump provides reliable, low carbon heating all year round.

It is Quiet Mark certified, recognising it as one of the quietest heat pumps on the market.
