Introducing Grant UK’s new Specification Sales Team

Grant UK has appointed three new roles within its Sales Team creating a dedicated New Build and Social Housing Specification Team. Gary Muir, Ian Lawley and Craig Payne have joined as Regional Specification Managers who will be providing specialised sales support to the new build and social housing sector to help them transition their properties to low carbon heating technologies.

 

Gary, Ian and Craig will be working closely with Andy Smith, Grant UK’s National Sales Manager, to provide existing developments and prospective new build sites with tailored sales support with product specification, installation and the customer handovers. All three bring a wealth of experience from the heating sector, have extensive knowledge of air source heat pumps and an in-depth understanding of the customer support new build developments require.

 

Gary is the new Regional Specification Manager for Northern England and Scotland. Throughout his career, Gary’s roles have involved working with merchants, buying groups, housebuilders and social housing associations. For thirteen years, Gary worked for an international wood-based material manufacturer holding a variety of positions in its sales team including account management, commercial sales and distribution management. Gary then made the move to a different sector, working as a Heating Specification Manager for a heat pump manufacturer. In this role, Gary supported developers and social housing customers with their project specification, with the provision of training on heat pumps and legislation as well as helping with on-site technical support.

Ian is the new Regional Specification Manager for the East of England and the Midlands. He has been involved in the plumbing and heating industry throughout his career which spans over three decades, starting as a self-employed plumbing and heating engineer before becoming a Sales Engineer for a plumbing, heating and underfloor heating distribution company. Ian has also worked for manufacturers in the heating sector in Sales Manager roles which involved working with merchants, local authorities, developers and contractors, supporting them with the supply of heating systems. For the last ten years, Ian has been working for a heating controls manufacturer, focusing on specification selling, delivering technical product training and working closely with both national and regional developers.

 

Craig  is the new Regional Specification Manager for the West of England and Wales. After finishing his education with a degree in Electronic Engineering, Craig became an Area Sales Manager for a manufacturer, managing the accounts of independent merchants in South Wales. Craig then joined a component manufacturer in the plumbing and heating sector as an Area Sales Manager, again working closely with independent merchants as well as national merchants, contractors and regional developers. For nearly fifteen years, Craig has worked for a heat pump manufacturer, firstly as a Sales Engineer and then as their National Sustainable Home Centre Manager, providing specification sales support to energy suppliers, developers, social housing providers and installers as well as supporting the delivery of heat pump knowledge hubs to the trade and public.
