Did you know that over 21 million people a year do voluntary work in the UK?

All those people and all those hours contribute an estimated £23.9bn into the economy.

Like may charitable organisations, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) relies on volunteers at a number of levels; from board members, to committee members and those who organise and help out at branch events. That’s why the CIPHE is proud to celebrate Volunteers Week.
This year’s Volunteers Week is once again celebrating those amazing people who do so much without expecting anything in return. Running from 1-12 June, this year’s event has been extended to run over 12 days instead of seven, so there is more time to celebrate and get involved.

Kevin Wellman, Chief Executive Officer of the CIPHE commented: “The dedication, passion and hard work put in by those who volunteer at the Institute has always been a defining characteristic of our membership. Our thanks go out to all of those who give their time and energy freely to the CIPHE, without you, the Institute would not be the organisation it is.”

“Additional thanks also go to Richard Soper (Director of Development at the CIPHE), Roger Webb (Director of External Affairs at the CIPHE) and Paul Massey (CIPHE Industrial Associates Development Group), for their continued hard work and support.”

The CIPHE has a wide range of committees and groups which are run by volunteers. If you would like to find out more about volunteering with the CIPHE please email [email protected] or phone 01708 472791.
