CAREL appoints new MD

Controls specialist CAREL has appointed Giandomenico Lombello as its new managing director.

Currently group sales and marketing director, he will replace Francesco Nalini, who will continue as CEO. Mr Lombello will report directly to the CEO and play a 'general role in the direction, management and co-ordination of corporate operational process activities and functions'.

Mr Lombello, who joined the business in 1988, said: ‘It is a great honour for me to accept this new role and to assist Francesco Nalini in the transition to the near future. I hope to meet the expectations of the board of directors and to interpret this role in the best possible way. My goals are very clear, and concern investors, customers and all CAREL employees.''
