The Publishers of ACR Journal & Heat Pumps Today has officially been awarded the Competition Operating Partner status by WorldSkills UK for the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps sectors. They are thrilled that Fujitsu General Air Conditioning UK Ltd are now Headline Sponsors
It supports young people across the world via competitions-based training, assessment and benchmarking, with members’ national teams ultimately testing their ability to achieve world-class standards in the biennial ‘skills olympics’. The insights gained from training as part of this global network helps raise standards across the UK.
Juliet Loiselle, Publisher of ACR Journal and Heat Pumps Today says “we are delighted to be working with industry and WorldSkillsUK on the competitions program for 2022”.
The competition, RACHP Skills UK is open to apprentices in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industries, and requires training providers to register apprentices on the WorldskillsUK website during the registration period 28 Feb – 1 April
Following on, regional competitions will be held April through to June at official participating Colleges and training centres in the UK. The regional tests will last one day in front of a panel of expert industry judges, involving a practical test of knowledge, skills and behaviours. Embedded into the competition experience for apprentices are opportunities to attend industry and skills events, a chance to learn from leading global companies and engage with the best technical innovation in industry.
