BITZER UK Sales Director James Graham completed the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k to raise money for Age UK.
The route began in Leeds city centre before heading to Kirkstall Abbey and returning to finish in front of Leeds Town Hall.
James said: "The event has grown over the years and now has a national following. Although it's local to me, I hadn't taken part before, but it had been on my list before the pandemic.
"The charity is a worthy cause as the lockdowns resulted in many elderly people becoming isolated and lonely and a lot of age-related operations being cancelled, affecting the quality of life for many.
"The older generation has a great deal to offer in terms of their increased experience and knowledge, however they are sometimes overlooked. Taking part in the event also helped increase my fitness levels as part of training for a half marathon planned for next year."
James was among 6000 runners who took to the streets and, with support from BITZER UK colleagues, friends and family, his participation contributed to around £50,000 raised for the charity.
