CAREL is hosting an interactive webinar: New efficiency policies for products and buildings in the EU. The event will be held online on 20 February 2025 (10:00-11:00 CET), and will be conducted in English by Raul Simonetti, HVAC/R Corporate Business Manager, and Miriam Solana Ciprés, HVAC/R Technical Knowledge Manager.
The webinar will dive into the key aspects of the European EPBD (EU) 2024/1275, effective from 28 May 2024, and ESPR (EU) 2024/1781, effective from 18 July 2024. The revised EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) introduces new requirements to improve energy efficiency in buildings, promoting the creation of zero-emission buildings and encouraging the use of smart technologies to monitor and reduce consumption. Meanwhile, the ESPR (Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation) broadens the eco-design concept, requiring life cycle analysis and sustainability criteria to reduce overall environmental impact, while also improving efficiency and lowering buildings’ carbon footprint.
The event focuses on enhancing the performance of both new and existing buildings, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and indoor air quality efficiency. It will provide practical insights into the implications of these new regulations, combining an informative lecture with a fun quiz, offering prizes for participants who answer correctly and quickly.
