Climalife in the UK has been recognised as a Disability Confident Employer.
The Disability Confident scheme is designed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to support and recognise businesses that are actively inclusive in their recruitment and retention practices.
There are three levels and Climalife had been Disability Confident Committed (level 1) since May 2023. In the last 18 months, the company has been doing more to support employees with disabilities and demonstrate that it is committed to recruiting disabled people.
It will be advertising any vacancies through organisations and media particularly aimed at disabled people, continue to ensure that they are providing an environment that is inclusive and accessible for everyone, and promoting a culture of being disability confident.
Laura McKeown, Business Support Manager at Climalife UK, pictured, said: I am delighted that we're now a Disability Confident Employer (level 2). This is so much more than a tick box exercise for us. We want everyone to feel included in our workplace, and able to do their best work.
“We're far from being perfect, as there's always more to do! We are focussing on how we can make our office more accessible physically and for those with a neurodiversity and will continue to improve our recruitment process to attract and retain candidates with disabilities. We are excited to see how we can develop, and how we can all become more inclusive and welcoming to the disabled community.’’
