Next week's InstallerSHOW in Coventry is set to host a range of fringe events focusing on future leadership, the role of women in industry and water sustainability.
The event takes place at the Ricoh Arena (now known as the Coventry Building Society Arena) from September 28-30. It is billed as the meeting place for people from across the UK heating, plumbing and electrical industries.
Visitors will have full access to the fringe programme which includes Future Leaders, an industry-wide initiative set up by Installer’s sister brand elemental, designed to promote the next generation of leaders and influencers who will ultimately be responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of low carbon targets and overall sustainability in the years to come.
Also featuring as part of Installer’s fringe event is Women Installers Together Conference, a dedicated event for tradeswomen within construction and maintenance industries, taking place on September 29.
Mica May, director of development at Stopcocks, said: “The WIT event is the only opportunity for all tradeswomen to meet and it’s been sorely missed. Some tradeswomen haven’t had the chance to meet another tradeswoman until they attend one of our events and we’re very excited to be able to bring women together again, when we’ll be discussing the green future of the industry.”
The BMA (British Bathroom Manufacturers Association) Sustainability Forum, looking at reducing water demand, labelling, building regulations and retrofit, and Glow-worm’s exclusive event for merchants and installers, will both take place on September 28.
Team GB BMX Olympian Kye Whyte will appear on the main stage at on September 30, and former Arsenal player turned pundit Ray Parlour will be speaking on the main stage on September 28.
