ICS Cool Energy has launched a flexible exchange programme which it believes can transform how manufacturers meet their process cooling and heating needs.
The FLEX Membership aims to give manufacturers access to the latest equipment with the flexibility of an operating expense. Customers are able to transform their process temperature control system from a fixed asset into a dynamic solution that will stay up to date with changing business needs. The programme packages equipment, preventive and 24/7 emergency maintenance, replacements and upgrades.
Dave Palmer, general manager for UK and Ireland at ICS Cool Energy, said: “We believe the FLEX Membership subscription business model will be a game changer in how manufacturers approach their process cooling and heating needs. With FLEX Membership, our customers get bespoke systems installed in their processes – with no upfront cost and capital investment. They only pay for the temperature control they need and when they need it.
"Unlike in the case of a traditional long-term hire, they benefit from the flexibility to exchange and upgrade the equipment as their requirements change or technology improves. Adding to this the peace of mind of complete maintenance and contingency plans - there is no other offering like that on the market”
By subscribing to the FLEX Membership, ICS Cool Energy says manufacturers can think of their cooling and heating systems as an operating expense instead of capital investment and get the flexibility to pay only for what they use. The subscription includes variable rates for equipment in use, on standby and off-site, and the option for remote monitoring:
- In use - when the process cooling or heating unit is installed, connected and used
- Contingency on site – when the unit is held on standby at customer premises
- Contingency in depot – when the unit is held on standby at customer’s local ICS Cool Energy depot.
The membership subscription can last up to nine years with full new-for-old equipment replacement on renewal of the contract.

FLEX Membership will give process, operations and facility managers the peace of mind that their investment won’t be obsolete and in line with the latest market innovations.”
