The Institute of Refrigeration is hosting a lunchtime webinar tomorrow (October 7) to raise awareness around Dyslexia Awareness Week.
Around 10% of the UK population have dyslexia but those with dyslexic traits are often afraid or reluctant to talk about it.
To mark Dyslexia in Engineering Day, keynote speaker Janette Beetham will explain what dyslexia is, why a neuro-inclusive workplace is good for everyone and how organisations can support staff that have this specific learning difficulty. The meeting will also include a panel discussion where people who live with dyslexia share their experiences and discuss how engineering associations can encourage and support engineers with dyslexia.
