The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) will host a webinar looking at the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) on April 15 (4-5pm).
PED - Is UK Compliance Under Pressure? will see David Paget, IOR Technical Chair and Chair of the RHE18 Refrigeration Safety Standard Group, join Simon Emeny to discuss:
- The impact of the PED
- The opportunities for improvement and the potential for modification now the UK is independent of EU legislation and has to consider the most appropriate mechanism for its needs.
They will look at how the PED and Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations apply in the UK for imports, equipment and installations and answer questions about how to improve understanding of conformity and certification requirements during construction and installation. They will also reference useful guidance documentation and talk through an example of compliance for A2L flammable refrigerants.
