Synapsys Solutions has added a SIPslice IP converter to its range. It has been developed to provide a simple and efficient way of converting ModBus, M-Bus or pulse/digital input values to ModBus or M-Bus TCP/IP.
It uses built-in web pages to configure the communication parameters necessary to convert the serial communications to the TCP/IP network.
When configured, the SIPslice IP converter allows information from a network of ModBus or M-Bus Serial slave addresses to be transferred to ModBus or M-Bus TCP/IP Master(s). The digital/pulse acquisition input will also appear as a unique address on the fieldbus TCP/IP network. Also featuring DIN rail mounting, Power over Ethernet, LEDs for power, Bus activity, health and comms, the SIPslice IP converter is a low cost solution for converting serial comms messages to TCP/IP comms messages.
Alastair Ewen, Account Manager for Synapsys Solutions, said: “As with all Synapsys products, the SIPslice IP converter has been designed to be simple to deploy and use. The hardware has also been designed to have a small footprint making them ideal for inclusion within panels and other locations where space is at a premium.”
