Ideal Heating has lifted the lid on its latest heat pump as it offers installers a greater choice of low carbon heating solutions.

The HP290 monobloc heat pump is designed to provide efficient, low carbon heating and hot water throughout the year.

It is the first domestic heat pump from Ideal Heating to run on the R290 refrigerant, which has low environmental impact and global warming potential.

The HP290 has been designed to be simple and easy to install and maintain and, when paired with Ideal’s pre-plumbed hot water cylinder and Halo Lite RF thermostat, provides a complete low carbon heating package.

The heat pump is supported by Ideal Heating’s customer service, with a UK-based team available 364 days a year, providing a comprehensive range of technical and customer advice.

Ideal Heating last year launched the Logic Air heat pump to the market and has now furthered its low carbon product range with the HP290.

Lizzie Wilkinson, Product Director (Domestic) at Ideal Heating, said: “Our HP290 heat pump follows many of the same principles as our popular Logic Air. In all of our products, we want installers to enjoy working with them, and for them to be simple to install, maintain and service.

“What’s more, we know the end user experience is vitally important, and that’s why we provide what we genuinely believe is industry-leading levels of support. It means if you need any advice or help with the heat pump, you can receive it quickly and easily.

“When you put all of that together, and also factor in the impressive levels of performance and efficiency the HP290 offers, we believe this is powerful and attractive new proposition for the domestic market.”

The HP290 features a highly-efficient SCOP (seasonal coefficient of performance) rating of more than 500%. It means the heat pump will perform well in all weathers and seasons, from sunshine to snow, ice and rain.

Compatible with radiator and underfloor heating, alongside intuitive controls, the HP290 offers fast reheat times when coupled with the Ideal heat pump cylinder range.

The HP290 control box acts as the hub for the system and brings all of the electrical components together in one central location.

It means installation is fast and simple, and also gives householders the capability to see how the heat pump is performing. If they have any questions about the heat pump once installed, Ideal’s dedicated customer support team is on hand to help.

Phil Scrafton, Heat Pump Technical Manager, said: “At Ideal Heating, we pride ourselves on our level of customer support.

“Our specialist heat pump team is out and across the UK, providing a rapid response to any enquiries. We also have a fast and effective remote service team, who can resolve the majority of questions either over the phone or a video call.

“With our new HP290 heat pump, our customers can be sure to receive the same high level of service they have always depended on.”
