Systemair Topvex with DELTRI+ filter
Swedish ventilation company Systemair and Belgian filter manufacturer Deltrian have joined forces to launch a new generation of virucidal filters for air handling units (AHUs).
The DELTRI+ filters are Eurovent Certified and contain advanced plasma technology capable of neutralising or destroying 99 per cent of all viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, as tested by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and an independent laboratory. The filters are already available in most of Europe and many other markets worldwide.
With DELTRI+, building owners can improve existing units before considering more extensive upgrades to their ventilation systems. Compared with other methods utilised for virus prevention, the DELTRI+ filters are said to offer a more straightforward solution that is easy to apply and manage. Furthermore, for facility managers, the filters enable additional safety when exchanged.

While it does not replace other preventive measures, we consider it a hands-on contribution to support a return to a more normal life.”
Lena Eklind, group technical director at Systemair, added: “Operators do not need to worry about significantly increasing energy costs with this solution. Despite its virucidal functions and being classified ISO16890 ePM1 90 per cent, the filter holds a Eurovent Certified Performance A+ energy class rating, ensuring a low-pressure drop and market-leading dust holding capacity with the best possible energy efficiency.”
Systemair says it is the first HVAC manufacturer worldwide to offer air filters with DELTRI+ as replacement filters in standard and special sizes for existing AHUs, independent from their brand. In addition, all newly build Systemair AHUs can be shipped with DELTRI+ as an optional order item. Customers can order the directly through the Systemair webshop, where available, or local offices.
Systemair has also released a new range of rotary AHUs as part of its Topvex line-up, said to offer an extended range of sizes and airflows in a compact design.
The units are equipped with the efficient fans and low noise levels and the entire range is Eurovent Certified and meets VDI 6022-1 hygienic requirements by design.
Customers can select the suitable units for their specific project through the Systemair Configurator. Installation is plug-and-play, and commissioning is simple via the smart Systemair Access Control System.
