The Williams Multideck R100 grab and go cabinet
Williams will show its latest and most energy efficient grab and go Multideck at the LACA Main Event*.
Grab and go is said to be increasingly important for school meals service. Its ‘high street cool’ appeals to many children, and is seen as a way of encouraging them to have a proper meal. It also increases staff productivity in the kitchen, since the units are self-service.
One problem with traditional merchandisers is that their open front design means they are less energy efficient. Williams has addressed this issue by adding doors to its new Multidecks, reducing power consumption by as much as 60% compared to open fronted versions.
Williams believes that doors are the future for grab and go merchandisers, not only because of energy efficiency but also because they protect the food and reduce the risk of contamination.
The Multideck on show at the Main Event is model R100 with hinged doors, a slimline unit that can fit in tight spaces. The full Williams range includes high-volume units and Multidecks can be suited together to form larger displays if required.
